In these uncertain and challenging economic times, we are excited to announce that LessonLab is making a major investment in technology and product development over the next year. With support from Business Finland, we have launched a project aimed at advancing our new generative AI-based technology platform, Taito, named after the Finnish word for competence. Additionally, we will develop a series of educational simulations as part of this major project. These simulations will provide trainees not only with practice environments but also reliable and valid feedback on their skills.

AI-driven training simulations

The new platform will streamline the development of realistic training simulations, enabling customer-specific customization. These simulations are especially valuable for practicing real-world interactions that are difficult to replicate authentically, such as managing change, navigating challenging sales scenarios, or interacting with patients in a healthcare setting. The AI-driven approach will allow trainees to receive diagnostic feedback, ensuring a more personalized and effective learning experience.

Collaborative development with industry partners

We are developing these simulations in collaboration with LessonLab’s client companies and partners to ensure they mirror real-world situations. The use of AI opens up new application areas, extensive diagnostic insights from simulation data, and more tailored learning experiences.

A competitive edge in the global market

Integrating AI into our platform differentiates LessonLab from competitors and opens new customer opportunities. Our vision is to grow into a global leader in educational simulations, offering realistic experiences and the best diagnostic feedback system available for trainees. We aim to serve educational companies, universities, and organizations with internal training needs, providing a cost-effective and modern way to develop practical competencies.

Project milestones and future growth

The product development project began during the summer 2024, with a target to launch commercial versions of the technology platform and selected training simulations by summer 2025. This initiative is partly funded by a Business Finland product development loan. To support this expansion, we are hiring new talent, starting with a full-stack developer this fall.
